Roles and responsibility for Job opening for Routing Test Engineers, Multiple Clients of Vati! - Best Places to work!, Bangalore:

Design, execute, and automate test cases for the Ericsson Smart Edge router series.

Work with product management and software/hardware development teams to develop test plans and strategies to ensure that new products and features meet specifications.

This includes:

  • Participation in design reviews
  • Writing detailed Functional Test plans
  • Design of test bed topologies
  • Execution of test cases and clear documentation of defects found
  • Development of PERL scripts to automate test cases.
  • Assisting development teams in analysis and debugging of defects
  • Resource allocation planning
  • Participation in reviews of test processes, contributing to continuing evolution of processes to improve group productivity and test effectiveness.
Requirements for Job opening for Routing Test Engineers, Multiple Clients of Vati! - Best Places to work!, Bangalore:
  • 3-5 years of development test experience on a routing/switching platform – 6 positions
  • 5-7 years of development test experience on a routing/switching platform – 9 positions
  • 8+ years of development test experience on a routing/switching platform – 5 positions
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in parallel and work independently
  • Extensive experience in routing technologies, both IPv4 and IPv6 such as

-       BGF

-       OSPF

-       ISIS

-       RIP

-       Multicast (PIM-SM/BiDir)

-       MPLS

  • Strong scripting skills in PERL/TCL.
  • Experience in the following areas is desired
    • BRAS technologies (PPP/PPPoE/MLPPP, L2TP, AAA/RADIUS/TACACS+, DHCP)
    • Forwarding
    • Security (IPsec, IKE)
  • Test tools
    • Agilent N2X
    • Spirent
